Rhythms of Ukraine: Tavria's 50-Year Celebration of Dance
A tribute to five decades of community, culture, and dance.
Tavria proudly presented Rhythms of Ukraine - A celebration marking 50 years of performance, culture, and community all connected by a love of Ukrainian dance, at the Regina Performing Arts Centre on Saturday June 21st 2025.
This production featured a cast of 28 dancers. They performed reimagined classics & new choreography in this two-part show.
The show took the audience on a journey through Ukraine's diverse regions. Each dance contributed to telling a story—one of resilience, celebration, and the spirit of the Ukrainian people.
Tavria Orchestra, under the direction of Vlad Tsymbal joined the dancers for a section of the production. With their dynamic live accompaniment and featured musical sections, the orchestra brought a rich depth to the production. Dynamic set design and vibrant costumes transformed the stage into a living canvas.
Rhythms of Ukraine was more than a performance — it's was a tribute to five decades of community, culture, and dance. This journey through sound, colour, and motion honoured Tavria's past and gave a glimpse into its future.
