The Tavria Ukrainian Dance Ensemble is in constant demand for performances throughout Saskatchewan. They were pleased to perform during the opening ceremonies of the 2005 Canada Summer Games and in the half-time show in Grey Cup '95, in Regina. The ensemble has performed in Saskatoon's "Ukraine Day in the Park" and was proud to be a part of Ituna's celebration of the 10th anniversary of the independence of Ukraine. They are annual headliners at the Kyiv Pavilion, during Regina's annual Mosaic and perform at numerous Malanka celebrations in Regina and surrounding communities. Their performance accomplishments include their own stage production, the "Magic and Mystique of Ukraine", a wonderful show put on at the Centre of the Arts, in Regina. In 2004 they hosted a joint production with the Volya Ukrainian Dance Ensemble from Edmonton. National The Tavria Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble has performed coast-to-coast in Canada for over thirty years. In the summer of 1996, Tavria traveled home to Ukraine on their "Going Home '96" tour and returned to Ukraine in the summer of 2000. While in Ukraine, they dazzled audiences with their exciting, high-stepping, yet delicate footwork and dances and were part of Lyviv's Independence Day celebration. They also participated in workshops with well-known choreographers of Ukraine. The ensemble travelled to Ukraine for a third time in August of 2006, where they toured western regions. The Tavria Ukrainian Folk Dance Ensemble enjoys promoting and sharing their culture to all audiences. We welcome the opportunity to come dance for you. Come! Catch the culture!
